Zombie Arena is a dynamic and funny 2D  shooter, where you kill zombies. Lot of 'em.

In a procedurally generated arena, you will be submerged by dozens of walking deads, but dont worry : you will also get some heavy and fully loaded weapons to break them.

Pick guns, try to survive and remember to watch your back !

The game is now available on desktop, just download the .zip archive and launch the zombiearena.exe file.

I had to invest in a Construct 3 license (90 $) , so the objective is to reimburse this cost. If you want to support me and encourage me, eventually, to make other games (which takes a lot of time, even for an amateur), don't hesitate to give a dollar or two !

Why is the SMG burst fire? Was it really that hard to make it automatic? Also the hit sound is louder that the gunshots. Would be nice if there were some kind of powerups or something to help you in a pinch. Also i think you should add a muzzleflash when you shoot. I think using the whole mouse wheel is unnscesary, especially when you cant just move it a bit and change the gun, no you need to scroll up for the second weapon and down for the first one, no other way. I think there should just be a "swith guns" button. You probably also should make some more sounds, because i want to hear my enemies getting exploded into guts.

Un-automatic SMG is a gameplay choice I made, of course it is simple to make it automatic but I won't ;). That's a balance issue, automatic SMG would have been too much powerful...

For the rest, I consider this game "done", with all its defaults and lacks, it's my first game (and I am proud of it !). I'm working on a second game (a top down shooter too), exploring different ways of basic gameplay.

This is really awesome!

It reminds me a bit of a top down DOOM with the "shoot all the f**king monsters with ALL the guns!" I also liked the paralax effect you made for the map! (Also can we take a moment to appreciate the music?)

Things I would change are make it easier to switch weapons, number keys did not work for me... And just add more stuff, more enemies like ones that charge to you in straight lines, enemies that shoot back at you and big "boss" zombies that take long to kill, more weapons like a long range sniper and maybe powerups? I could see speed, damage or health powerups fitting in nicely with the rest of the game!

I'm currently working on new content, like different zombies, more weapons and some lootable stuff (life, ammo...). Oh, yes, ammo will be limited next time :D

Yay, those seem like some good changes!

But what if you have no ammo left? Will you get a melee weapon, will you be helpless until you find more ammo or will you just switch guns? I would like the second one ;)
